Water Efficient & Drip Irrigation Systems
Water Efficient & Drip Irrigation Systems
Traditional sprinkler systems and irrigation systems can be very wasteful and the EPA estimates that 30% of the average American household's water use goes to the landscape. As clean water becomes more and more scarce each year, its important that we use the latest technology offered in drip and micro irrgation systems to reduce our clients water bills and the amount of we use water for irrigation.
What is Drip Irrigation?
Drip Irrigation is an efficient and economical method of watering. This kind of sprinkler irrigation method is typically more that 90% efficient at getting the applied water directly to the plants. Unlike other forms of irrigation, like sprinkler heads that are only 65-75% efficient, drip irrigation reduces runoff and evaporation. With this type of irrigation system, the water goes exactly where you want it to go, not like other sprinkler systems that spray over sidewalks, patios and other things that do not need to be watered. Drip systems cost about the same price to install as a traditional sprinkler system.
